TOPPER'S BLUEPRINT
How to Present Your Answers
1. The "G-F-S-A" Algorithm (Numericals)
Examiners give marks for steps. Never write the answer directly. Follow this structure for every single numerical:
| Given: List values ($u=-20$, $f=-10$) |
½ Mark |
| Formula: Write formula clearly |
½ Mark |
| Substitution: Put values in formula |
1 Mark |
| Answer: Final result + UNIT |
1 Mark |
⚠️ Warning: No Unit = -½ Mark deduction instantly!
2. The "Keyword" Hack (Theory)
Examiners scan for keywords. If they don't see them, you don't get marks.
Underline Keywords:
E.g. "Scattering", "Total Internal Reflection".

Bullet Points:
Never write huge paragraphs. Break it into points (Point 1, Point 2).

Difference Between:
ALWAYS use a table. (Column A vs Column B).

3. The "15-Minute" Strategy
Use the Reading Time (15 mins) wisely:
- Choose Options: Decide which "OR" questions to attempt. Don't waste writing time deciding later.
- Mental Roadmap: Read Case Studies completely now so you don't have to re-read them during writing time.
- Start with Confidence: Identify the 5 questions you know best. Attempt them first to impress the examiner.
4. Diagram Essentials
Arrows: A ray diagram without arrows is just geometry. It gets ZERO marks.
Labeling: Label at least 2 parts (e.g., Retina, Ciliary Muscle).
Scale & Pencil: Freehand drawings look messy. Use tools.
